Wally’s Restaurant & Entertainment

I'm really a Revere Beach guy, but every now and then I have to mix it up, so I head up to Hampton Beach. I always find myself at Wallace. This is my kind of spot. It is casual, it is blue collar. Everybody here just united by a love of food, fun and music. 

When you come to Hampton Beach, you got to come to Wally's. You're coming for fun, but you're coming for good food. Al fluri bought the business back in 2004 and he's only made this landmark spot that much better. 

We've been here for 20 years. We are a music venue, but the idea of bringing people in for the food was how to walk that line, and so we did that with different food specials and making our food a step up above regular bar fare. 

This place is known as a biker bar. There are a lot of bikers, and there is a huge bar, but this menu is way more than you would expect. Everybody's doing a Nashville hot chicken sandwich these days. Here, I think you have to start with the Nashville hot chicken nachos.

We grill up the chicken. It's our own sauce. We got Colby Jack cheese. We top it with some queso, some bacon chopped up on there, and a drizzling ranch. It's definitely hot. It's going to kick but it's not overwhelming. It all plays together.

Every great bar needs great chicken wings. And here they deliver. They come in two sizes, extra large with eight wings or extra extra large with 16 wings. Let's do some Phantom Gourmet wing algebra, because Wednesdays are 25 cent wings. So if they serve 16 wings on 25 cent wing night, how much is that? That's $4 that's a crazy deal. I'll see you here on Wednesday night, when I'm near the beach. I'm always thinking about hot dogs. Here they do a quarter pound all beef Pearl hot dog in a few different varieties.

When it comes to the hot dogs, we do a toasted roll. We grill the dogs. It's something about the crunch of the roll, snap of the hot dog. It all plays well together. 

If you're feeling adventurous, try “The Goat.”  “The Goat Dog” plays off of one of our other restaurants, The Goat. It has our special sauce from The Goat bacon, sriracha and jalapenos. So you bite into a goat dog and there's a lot going on. You get the salty from the bacon, the little snap from the jalapenos, The Goat sauce, getting it all together. It's one of a kind, for sure.

Wally's also does a delicious chili cheese dog. Chili is homemade, and the cheese is on top, so it melts right into the dog.

Our chili alone is very popular, so we threw it on a dog, melted cheese. Big, heavy. I'm getting hungry thinking about it, feeling slower thinking about it, but very good.

Wally’s has a good handheld section, including a chicken parm sandwich. Got that great chicken parm red sauce and cheese on the toasted roll. Al's favorite sandwich is the steak bomb, and I can see why. This is made with a ton of shaved prime rib. They add mushrooms, peppers and onions, a little bit of salami and cheese. 

The steak bomb is my favorite because of the blend of everything together, the salami really makes it a little bit different than everybody else's. You gotta be hungry, but I'm always hungry, so works for me

I love it when a bar has a great burger here. My favorite is the Wally Burger. This burger is stacked with bacon, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce, peppers, onions, and they put it all between a potato roll. I think that's smart culinary thinking, because you need a strong roll to stand up to all those ingredients. This is just a great burger. 

It says beach pizza on the menu, but it's not, but it is the best pizza on the beach.

I'm going to say we have the best pizza on the beach. It's not beach pizza, but we're on the beach and we have great pizza. We toss the dough in the back, throw it on the bricks. It is great.

I think a barbecue chicken pizza is a good choice here. These are grilled pieces of chicken, and the cheese goes over the chicken, really rounding the flavor of this pie together. You've got cheese, chicken, barbecue sauce and fresh toss dough. This is a great pizza. 

They do food specials here every single day. And I thought Al was out of his mind when he said they do 25 cent wings. But the twin lobster is even crazier to me. On the day that I'm taping this segment, two lobsters are less than 20 bucks. Twin lobster Tuesday is the best deal in New Hampshire. Starts the beginning of June, doesn't quit until October, if the boats are still out, and it just lets you know summer's here.  Man, to me, that is worth the drive to Hampton alone. Y

You're going to come to Wally's, and you're going to get great food, you're going to get specials that you didn't expect, and you're going to meet really fun people, and you're going to have fun.

I'm telling you, I like. Nothing better than riding my motorcycle up to…..
