Giuseppe’s
Giuseppe’s is a family Italian restaurant. It's been around for 29 years, originally opened in Newburyport, Massachusetts by Giuseppe himself.
Giuseppe Masia is the founder of the brand. 29 years ago he came over from Italy and opened a little storefront in Newburyport, Mass.
It was wildly popular, it got bigger, got busier and then expanded until he had the entire building as Giuseppe’s.
He has passed the torch to us and we're honored to really be a part of that.
We do this second location with his blessing and it's been a joy to work alongside of him.
Hi, I'm Kelly.
And I'm Rob. Welcome to Giuseppe’s Beverly.
Giuseppe’s is a very unique concept, we have a lot going on under this roof. We have a full service bar with TVs where you can come and watch a game, we have a sit down restaurant, we have a marketplace where we provide all kinds of scratch food and takeaway foods. And then of course our takeout area where you can call in and get pizzas, subs, and more.
The menu is traditional Italian, every recipe is Giuseppe’s recipe. So the meatballs, the pasta, the sauce is still his recipe so it truly is authentic to Giuseppe, we didn't want to change that.
Authentic food that's passed down from Giuseppe himself, recipes that go back to Sardinia where he's from and we really tried to embrace some of that old world charm. We have a lot of great starters here at Giuseppe’s. I would say one of the guests’ favorites is our sausage pepper arancini.
Those are just a favorite. People love that crispy fried outside and the sausage and peppers on the inside. Dip it right in the marinara sauce. Just a nice light bite to get everybody started.
My absolute favorite appetizers are eggplant Rollatini. We slice the eggplant paper thin, fry it off, we’re able to roll it with ricotta cheese, some fresh herbs are roasted red pepper, a little bit of spinach, artichoke hearts, so you're gonna get the crunch from the eggplant you're gonna get a little creaminess from the cheese. It’s a great combination. Another favorite starter of mine is our antipasta de la casa, that is sliced to order meats, imported cheeses.
It's so much fun for a big party to share. It has mortadella, capicola, salami, some olives, we have a few different vegetables on there as well as our homemade focaccia. I would say that's one of the favorite ones for sure.
For lunch, we really focus a lot on subs, sandwiches. We have a fantastic Panini here.
We also have the classic Italian sub with all of the Italian deli meats that we slice here in house
We use a pistachio based mortadella, a sweet capicola, genoa salami, and then an aged provolone cheese layered with fresh diced vegetables, finish it up with extra virgin olive oil and some seasoning. It's my favorite. Absolute my favorite.
Here at our Beverly location we have New Haven style pizza. We make our dough in house and we slice our cheese in house and we make our sauce daily so it's as fresh as can be.
Our Margherita is one of our favorites. People love that light fresh classic. Aside from the margherita, I absolutely love the polpette and ricotta.
Our polpette pizza is made with scratch made meatballs, ricotta cheese, mozzarella, finished with housemade pesto. When that pizza goes to the table the guests are really blown away. It is such a beautiful pizza with so many different flavors it's absolutely delicious.
Here at Giuseppe’s, all of our entrees are fantastic but my favorite is the chicken parmesan. Chicken cutlet fried to order covered with sauce and mozzarella cheese with fresh pasta and I think the best bites a little bit of that chicken with some of the housemade linguini. You put that in your mouth and you're in heaven immediately.
Chicken Marsala, this is one of my favorite dishes.
What's so wonderful about our chicken masala is that we make that sauce here with so many wonderful ingredients, really brings a lot of dimensions to the sauce that gets put down on the table in front of you. The first thing you see is all that chicken and mushroom braised in that sauce. The smell hits you it's so craveable.
What is so special about our lasagna are the homemade pasta sheets. They're nice and thin. We do several layers. This isn't just a three layer lasagna, fresh pasta, braised meat and our meat sauce on top of it. It's very simple but it hits the spot.
You are absolutely going to want to save room for dessert and who doesn't love a cannoli. We pipe them to order, it is absolutely as Italian as it gets.
We have a housemaid Tiramisu it’s layered with mascarpone cheese, imported lady fingers, espresso coffee, dusted with cocoa powder.
It’s absolutely a great choice for a little bite after dinner.
Here at Giuseppe’s, we have so much to offer. We'd love to have you come down and check out our food and just spend some time with us.
I think Giuseppe’s is just that classic Italian you can come in and get your chicken parm you can get your pizza. The kids will be happy, grandparents will be happy. It really appeals to the entire family. You can come in and everybody leaves with a full belly and a smile on their face.
