Full Circle Diner
Sometimes, the best ideas don’t move forward. They come full circle.
“Full Circle Diner is a tribute to our breakfast roots.”
“My husband started all this many years ago. He was the king of breakfast in the whole North Shore area.”
“We've always had a breakfast restaurant growing up, and that changed, but we got the itch to come back for breakfast and we came here.”
“So when he retired, me and Paul started over yet, and that's how it became a full circle into the restaurant.”
And you’ll find food, fun and a whole lot of family at Full Circle Diner.
Set on Route One South in Peabody, Full Circle Diner has been generations in the making. Penny Christopher and her son Paul are the dynamic duo behind the diner— inspired by Brothers Kouzina, a North Shore breakfast institution owned by Paul’s dad Jimmy.
“My father's opened many restaurants, always doing breakfast and he’s like the mayor here. Every time somebody comes in with Jimmy—‘Where's Jimmy? Where's Jimmy?’ It’s great.”
Together, they’ve created a bright, sunny spot that feels like a hug the second you step foot in the door.
“It is a shock when you see it from the outside.”
“My mother designed the whole place. A lot of breakfast people love the countertop, so we had to do that. We have high tops over here for when the countertop fills up and then we have just the dining room back there for more family friendly.”
“We just wanted to make it really bright and welcoming.”
And if the space doesn’t welcome you, Penny most definitely will.
“Most of the people you see come in now that I hug when I walk. They welcome me. I welcome them. And I love that feeling.”
“Everyone comes in and asks, ‘Where’s Penny? Where’s Penny?’ She walks around. She’s hugging everybody, kissing everybody—yeah, she loves it too.”
“I go to the dining room on a Sunday morning. I know everybody. No question.”
And this breakfast spot is no greasy spoon, with a stunning dining room and a fun bar serving cocktails all day— with lots of flavor and zero judgments.
“People come to the bar for mimosas, Bloody Marys. They meet people. It’s becoming a Breakfast Club, and I just love that. You can get a cocktail anytime of day. No judgments.”
There are so many ways to start your day at Full Circle. From standards done right like the Circle Deluxe with two eggs, your choice of meat, home fries, and your choice of pancakes or French toast. Fluffy waffles topped with bananas, strawberries, blueberries, and Nutella and Cannoli Stuffed French Toast.
“It tastes just like a cannoli. It’s layered. So it’s French toast, ricotta, chocolate chips. French toast, ricotta, chocolate chips. You can put syrup on it, but it doesn’t need it. Kids love it. Adults love it. It’s a big hit.”
The hash had to be up to Jimmy’s high standards to be used on the Beefed Up Benedict.
“We have the best corned beef hash. I’ve had corned beef hash in a lot of places. Nothing ever compares to my dad’s recipe. He’s a corned beef hash snob. He’s never had corned beef hash other than his own, and I kind of agree. And the Beefed Up Benedict is corned beef hash base. You’ve got the poached eggs on top. Our hollandaise sauce is phenomenal, on top of two English muffins.”
The meaty masterpieces continue with dishes like the Bombshell Omelet, loaded up with shaved steak, peppers, onions, mushrooms, and lots of American cheese…
Or the so-called “Wrap Me in Greece,” an homage to their Greek roots, stuffed with spicy loukaniko sausage, tomato, potato, feta, and eggs.
“We’re Greek, obviously. So we had to throw something Greek on the menu. So loukaniko, tomato, and feta by themselves are amazing—and then you scramble it with the eggs, wrap it in the pita. It’s to die for.”
At lunch, you’ll find all of your favorite diner comfort foods. From roasted turkey dinners with all of the fixins to the mixed grill featuring juicy chicken breast and tender steak tips.
“Our steak tips are phenomenal. Grilled chicken breast. We marinate ourselves, two sides. Perfect lunch. Healthy. You can’t beat it.”
A diner is only as good as its Reuben, and here, every bite proves why it’s such a classic.
“The Reuben is phenomenal. It is corned beef with sauerkraut. We do the Russian dressing, coleslaw on grilled rye bread with Swiss cheese. You get all the different flavors—the sauerkraut, the Russian dressing, the corned beef—and it all just kind of melts together into one bite with the Swiss. Out of this world.”
And for a tower of deliciousness, try the cheeseburger club.
“I love a good cheeseburger club. Three slices of toast. It’s basically a BLT on top of a cheeseburger. Put together, it’s cut in fours so it’s easier to eat. Comes with French fries, and that’s my go-to lunch.”
And along with all that delicious food, the Christophers are serving smiles… which might just be the best thing on the menu.
“I just love doing it. I love when people leave with a smile—it makes me proud that I can bring this. They leave with a smile and they thank us for coming here. ‘We’ve had great practice. It was great to see you again. We’ll be back.’ And that’s a great feeling.”
