Concord’s Colonial Inn
In 1988, Jurgen Demisch and his wife Rebecca took over the over 200 year old Concord's Colonial Inn , and they have worked to make this charming inn a great restaurant as well.
Atmosphere(10)
If you're a history buff, this place is for you. Charming authentic colonial inn has been around for three centuries. Gorgeous outdoor patio dining room available in the summer.
Menu(8)
Specializes in fish and lobster with 12 chef's specialties, roast beef, steak, pork, and chicken all represented.
Portions(8)
Large fish and roast beef portions. The Phantom walked out of here a little sluggish, and he didn't even drink any wine.
Appetizers(7)
The onion blossom just didn't work. It was undercooked and once the Phantom sent it back to be finished, it was even worse. Baked brie and coconut shrimp were both satisfying.
Food and Drink(9)
The food is simply wonderful. New menu heavily features fish. Salmon picatta pan fried in wine sauce is seafood perfection.
Desserts(8)
Several interesting choices. Chocolate chip cookie pie was sinfully good. Indian pudding is a classic New England dessert.
Service(7)
Very accommodating and pleasant, but a bit slow to clear the dishes and bring the coffee.
Cleanliness(10)
How do they make this 200 year old inn sparkle like this? No dust lurking in the corners, this is a fully restored and refurbished gem.
Parking(9)
In the center of historic Concord, Mass. Parking lot in the back. Bring your family here and show them this incredible neighborhood that most people only read about.
Value(9)
Dinners between $18 and $26. Baked shrimp for $17. Breakfast and lunch about $8-10 are a very good buy.
