Orchid Princess
It may not be flowery, but the authentic Thai menu at Orchid Princess in Everett is sure to impress any and all royalty.
Atmosphere(7)
This simple store front restaurant is divided into two rooms. Yellow walls are decorated with pictures of famous Buddhist monks and floral prints.
Menu(8)
Well-laid out with easily defined categories. Many traditional beef, seafood, and chicken Thai dishes as well as vegetarian choices and a good selection of noodles and rice.
Portions(8)
Phantom did not leave unsatisfied. Appetizers are plentiful as are entrees which include a huge helping of rice and vegetables.
Appetizers(8)
The grilled Chicken Satay on long skewers served with peanut sauce was tender and juicy. Tightly packed with chicken and vegetables, the spring rolls were right up Phantom's cape.
Food and Drink(7)
The Tamarind Chicken consisting of sliced chicken breast with sauteed mushrooms, peppers, onions, and snowpeas, and just the right amount of ginger for heat, was only decent. Although rubbed with tasty mixed spices, the Thai barbecue pork was dry and a bit overcooked. No alcoholic beverages available.
Desserts(7)
Limited almost solely to ice cream. But if it's your dessert of choice, you'll enjoy Phantom's favorite: fried ice cream.
Service(8)
Phantom's server was friendly and menu-savvy despite the fact that she was responsible for too many tables.
Cleanliness(7)
From table to bathroom, everything was clearly cared for. Except the badly worn carpet which detracted from the overall feel.
Parking(8)
Easily found on Broadway in Everett. On-street metered parking is plentiful.
Value(8)
Appetizers range from $4-$5, and main courses are between $7-$10. Lunch dishes are $2 less across the board. Reasonable for lunch and dinner.
