Cozy and inviting with its old wooden booths and Celtic artifacts. Beware of the booth in the back unless you like being hit by a swinging door leading to the kitchen.

Nothing too exciting with typical pub fare ranging from sandwiches, to fish, to chicken, to beef to that pub favorite, pasta.

With generous portions from start to finish, you may walk out with at least one more bag than you brought in.

Garnished with Portuguese sausage, the steamers were big with a big time taste. A tad overshadowed but nonetheless tasty were the mozzarella sticks exploding with cheese. The garden salad was good but after all it was just a salad.

The Cajun tips were tender but not as abundant as Phantom would have liked. Accompanying rice was a little bland. The Surf and Turf consisting of two baked stuff shrimp and steak emerged from the kitchen a tad undercooked but tasty nonetheless. Chieftain Ale tasted more like Miller Lite than Miller Lite does.

With only two options, Phantom chose the only fair Irish truffle. Upon further deliberation, maybe the carrot cake would have been a better choice.

The waitresses working in tandem were very congenial and accommodating from the moment Phantom arrived to meal's end.

Tables are cleaned and cleared expeditiously. Don't be afraid to use the facilities because they are very tidy.

Right on Route One in Plainville, about six miles south of Foxboro. Reasonable amount of parking.

Appetizers run between $3-$6 and entrees $7-$15. Reasonable prices for the quantity and quality received..
