The Fix Burger Bar
When all you can think about is a juicy… beefy… cheesy… piled high burger…
The best way to cure the craving is a visit to The Fix.
With locations in Worcester, Leominster, and this big beautiful new spot across from Williams Lake in Marlboro, The Fix Burger Bar is a must try for any burger lover.
Mike Covino – Owner, The Fix Burger Bar: “Everyone loves burgers and we love burgers. So when we set out to do The Fix, it was all about an unbelievable burger experience.”
And according to owner Mike Covino, any great burger begins with great beef.
Mike Covino – Owner, The Fix Burger Bar: “I think it’s really about the quality of the beef.. So we work with some great vendors to get you that juiciness and the flavor, regardless of what temperature you have it cooked. So that was really what we set out for, just really a top notch beef product to be the foundation for an unbelievable burger.”
Each seven ounce patty starts on the flat top, which imparts a perfect sear, then the cheese, sauce, and topping combinations are almost endless, with more than three dozen different ingredients customers can use to customize.
Or you can opt for one of The Fix’s signature burgers, like ‘The Phenomenal’, topped with crispy bacon, smoked gouda, frizzled onions, sweet chili ranch, and a fried egg.
Mike Covino – Owner, The Fix Burger Bar: “People love a fried egg on their burger. So that fried egg with the yolk running is great. But the frizzled onions and the sweet chili ranch sauce together running into that egg yolk. Phenomenal.”
For a high end burger, order ‘The Gatsby’, with premium beef, cave aged cheese, slab bacon, grilled onions, and ancho ketchup, on a brioche roll. Or if you’re in the mood for a fast food fix, check out ‘The Bigger Mac’
Mike Covino – Owner, The Fix Burger Bar: “Two patties, special sauce, there’s lettuce, there’s cheese. It’s our play on a two pattied burger. And if you’re really hungry and you want the two patties, the Bigger Mac is the way to go.”
If you’re hungry for some texture, ‘The Crunchy Burger’ is the one for you, topped with fried prosciutto, thick cut potato chips, mustard pickles, and a parmesan crisp.
Mike Covino – Owner, The Fix Burger Bar: “You got potato chips in there, bite, crunch. You got the parmesan cheese, almost like a pizzelle cookie, crunch. Mustard pickles, crunch. Most importantly, the fried prosciutto crunch. Crunch on crunch. Awesome burger, been on since inception, never going away.”
Before you get to your burger, a couple of appetizers are definitely in order, and a great way to try them all is ‘The Fix Sampler’, loaded with golden fried pickles, blue cheese polenta tots, Wicked Twisted pretzel bites, and dry rubbed barbecue wings that are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.
Mike Covino – Owner, The Fix Burger Bar: “I think dry rub is the way to go no matter where you get wings, but man our dry rub wings are the bomb.”
Poutine lovers are sure to be satisfied with this pile of crispy fries smothered in cheddar cheese curds and rosemary black pepper gravy.
Mike Covino – Owner, The Fix Burger Bar: “Poutine is so comforting. And it’s amazing how many people get the poutine as an appetizer because they love the flavor of the fries and gravy. So poutine is constantly on tables here at The Fix.”
The other app that fills the tables here are over the top addictive Potato Chip Nachos.
Mike Covino – Owner, The Fix Burger Bar: “That’s with short rib, a whiskey barbecue sauce, fresh corn, jalapeno. The sauces are nice because they’re not heavy, but there’s enough coverage on there. So each chip gets a little bit of short rib, gets a little fresh veggies with the corn, a little bite with the jalapeno, and just enough with the whiskey BBQ, and there’s like a little sour cream on there, really awesome nachos.”
When it’s time for dessert, thick creamy milkshakes are blended with slow churned ice cream and fresh local milk, and can be spiked with your favorite spirit if you like. Then there are the ‘B5 Chocolate Spring Rolls’, an absolute must order.
Mike Covino – Owner, The Fix Burger Bar: “Chocolate Spring Rolls is just a beautiful moist vanilla pound cake. We put them on a little spring roll wrapper with some shaved dark chocolate. Flash fry these spring rolls, we serve it with this strawberry sauce, a little Kahlua caramel sauce, and then a white chocolate mousse that’s decadent for dipping those spring rolls in. They’re over the top good, the chocolate is just oozing out of them.”
And no matter how you choose to feed your fix, it’s going to be great, either wrapped up for take out, or inside the beautiful dining room, filled with fun murals, natural woods, and warm hospitality.
Mike Covino – Owner, The Fix Burger Bar: “It’s casual. It’s definitely family friendly. It’s definitely date friendly, and friends and groups of people can really come. But we really look to exceed expectations when it comes to hospitality, product knowledge, especially because we have so many different burgers and we have so many different toppings. So it’s really about taking you through an awesome burger experience that can be different every time you come.”
