Teresa’s Prime
Nick Yebba Jr: “Teresa’s Prime is a prime steakhouse. Prime steak is the best steak that you can buy.”
Nick Yebba Sr: “Teresa’s Prime is not only a great steakhouse, but it’s a great Italian restaurant as well. When you first walk into Teresa’s Prime, you’re going to feel like you can’t afford eating there. But that’s not true. Teresa’s Prime is a place for everyone. The food is great, ambiance is phenomenal, and our prices are made for you. Hi, I’m Nick Yebba.”
Nick Yebba Jr: “And I’m Nick Jr., welcome to Teresa’s Prime.”
Dave Andelman: “If there’s anything better than a steakhouse, it’s an Italian steakhouse. Teresa’s Prime is owned by the Yebba family. Nick Sr. works the front of the house, Nick Jr. does all the cooking. I love Teresa’s Prime because it’s the best of both worlds. You have the great traditions of a steakhouse but you also have a full Italian menu. Those are two great tastes that go great together. This isn’t your father’s steakhouse with like 500 seats and the moose head on the wall. This is more intimate. It’s a beautiful place with an open kitchen and a fireplace and a great date night out.
When I approach this menu, it’s a Noah’s ark, 2 by 2 type philosophy. You got to convince your dining partner to get something that pairs well with what you want to get. That way you get to enjoy both sides of the menu. For appetizers, I like the triple cut bacon paired with the lobster tempura.”
Nick Yebba Sr: “Let me tell you about our bacon appetizer. It is absolutely terrific.”
Dave Andelman: “This is a triple cut bacon. It has the flavors of bourbon and cherry, and when you bite into this thing, you’re getting the pork and the cherry and the bourbon and oh this is so filling, it’s almost like I don’t even need an entree after eating this. Lobster tempura. The only way to make lobster any better is to fry it. So this is like traditional New England meets Japan. That’s fusion cuisine I can support.
The only way to improve on a steakhouse is to offer a pasta menu. And the two entrees I like here are the shrimp scampi and the Bolognese. Bolognese is the classic Italian comfort food and this one has pork, beef, and veal with some parmesan. Oh is this good. This shrimp scampi has giant shrimp and some garlic, lemon, and the fusilli pasta.
When it comes time to choose entrees, I like one from the regular section and one from the steak section. The veal chop parmesan and the sirloin steak. This is a one pound veal chop, lightly breaded, served with marinara sauce and pasta. This thing is so big, it’s falling off the plate.”
Nick Yebba Sr: “You want to there and grab the bone and eat it off the bone.”
Dave Andelman: “Oh boy that good. They have all kinds of steaks on the menu and people can tell me about ribeye or steak on the bone. I don’t care. I’m a New York sirloin kind of guy. To me, that is the essence of a great steak.”
Nick Yebba Sr: “What a steak. Thick, juicy, and just delectable.”
Nick Yebba Jr: “We just do a simple salt and pepper rub on them, just straight sear. Prime Brandt beef. You can’t miss.”
Dave Andelman: “And unlike the big Boston steak chains where they’re jacking you for like 14 dollars for a side, here, two sides come with your entree.”
Nick Yebba Sr: “And these are not cheesy sides. These are real nice sides. Sides that you can really put your teeth into.”
Dave Andelman: “For dessert, they have a s’mores sundae. But I recommend the cookie plate with milk. I mean the cookie plate with milk has it all, right? It’s warm, and it’s cool, and it’s comforting. It makes you think of those great days when you came home from school and your mom said ‘honey, I love you. I made you cookies and milk.'”
Nick Yebba Sr: “We want you to come in and enjoy your meal, walk out of here happy not only the service was great, the food was great, but it was affordable. That’s what we do here. You get your money’s worth and it’s a value. And we appreciate your business so we’re going to keep on doing that as long as long as you keep coming back.”
Dave Andelman: “If you want the best of both worlds where you get a steak and your date gets Italian, where you get the high end experience for very reasonable prices, you’ve got to try Teresa’s Prime.”
