Fondue

Avenue One may claim one of Boston’s few fondue menus, but Phantom would rather NOT take a dip. Other menu items garner much more respect, but sloppy service does little to keep the crowd satiated.

Shabu-Zen on Tyler Street specializes in the Japanese hot pot cooking called Shabu Shabu, meaning “swish, swish”. The name comes from the sound that’s made from swirling thin, uncooked meats through a simmering pot of broth.
