There's no other way to say it: Golden Panda Restaurant and Mongolian Barbecue in North Attleboro has to be one the best Chinese food values anywhere in New England.

It's really just a big, rectangular room with a couple of unspectacular Chinese fixtures. They should at least spruce up the grill section with a little more pizzazz.

It's big, but not very inventive. Interesting Hong Kong Style casseroles. 23 Chef Specialty dishes.

The buffet (including Mongolian BBQ) speaks for itself. Dishes ordered off of the menu are medium to large.

Sweet and surprisingly lean boneless spare ribs. Bland chicken wings. Sub par egg rolls and crab Rangoons. Satisfying fried dumplings. Hot and sour soup is true to its name.

All you can eat buffet features all the typical chicken, beef, pork, and rice selections. The bins are kept hot and are refilled constantly. Fabulous Mongolian Barbecue allows you to pick your own meat, noodles and veggies, "Fire and Ice" style. But Phantom thought the crispy sesame chicken was a bit too sweet.

Buffet includes pineapple, fresh melon, two flavors of Jell-O And then a chocolate fortune cookie with the check.

Charlie is the Mongolian grillmaster-and he's funny, animated, polite, quick, and efficient. The cordial waitstaff clears your plates immediately between every trip to the buffet.

Tidy dining room but the bathrooms could use a once-over.

Easily accessible on Route One North in North Attleboro next to the Super Stop and Shop. Lots of parking.

Get this: the entire buffet, with Mongolian Barbecue including costs $6 for lunch and $10.25 for dinner. That's simply ludicrous. And everything on the menu is under $12.50.
