Del Raye Bar & Grill
The Del Raye Bar & Grill Northampton has a great menu, but it's the waitstaff that makes it stand out.
Atmosphere(9)
Cozy feel with lots of wood and candlelight. Dining room features two levels with tables and booths, fresh flowers, and an open kitchen. Stylish bar area with mirrors and chrome.
Menu(8)
Del Raye offers 6 types of salad, 8 appetizers, and several carefully-selected entrees. Very creative and unique.
Portions(7)
Just about average. Appetizers won't spoil your dinner.
Appetizers(9)
Honey ginger glazed scallops were remarkably fresh, with an interesting crispiness on the outside. Mushroom risotto was perfectly al dente. Spicy Caesar salad with hot red peppers was a terrific twist on a classic. Wonderful selection of fresh breads.
Food and Drink(9)
Tender and lean filet mignon accompanied by a savory burgundy sauce and fried string onion rings. Horseradish mashed potatoes were bold and outstanding. Lobster with a light cream sauce, served out of the shell, was truly sublime. Mashed celery root was very creative and complimented the delicate lobster well.
Desserts(8)
Exceptionally light white chocolate mousse was layered with flaky pastry and fruit. Crème brulee was a little too dense, and the topping wasn't quite crunchy enough.
Service(10)
Some of the finest servers Phantom has seen in a long time. They're charming, efficient, and genuinely enjoy their work. Bartenders make you feel at home. Remarkably fast kitchen.
Cleanliness(9)
The staff cleared the tables quickly and kept them clean. Bathrooms similarly spic & span and smelled like eucalyptus.
Parking(8)
At the end of Main Street in Northampton, with plenty of free parking in the back. Take a walk around this fun area of town.
Value(8)
Appetizers average $8. Entrees range from $16-25. But Phantom doesn't mind paying when it means great service.
