PHANTOM APPROVED
Any place that offers bottomless fries with your burger wins a special place in Phantom’s purple heart. Hopefully Red Robin will continue to spread to new locations so their fun menu of 20-plus burgers will be even more accessible.

The Red Robin chain looks like a family-friendly party, mixing a retro framework of neon signs with movie posters, Americana, and in-floor TV’s. Most every booth has a view of the colorful window pass to the kitchen, and surprises like carousel horses pop up across the expansive layout. |

The fun menu includes sweet bar drinks and 22 daringly different “gourmet burgers” that range from classic to off-the-bun adventurous. |

To start, the Towering Onion Rings stacked thirteen high with heavy breading that ensured excellent crunch, paired with smoky creamy Campfire Sauce for dipping. Loaded steak fries had enough oomph to take on taco spices, meaty tidbits, and plenty of cheesy goodness. |

The burger course kicked off with a guacamole version that was creamy and absolutely irresistible, topped with twisted bacon. The Royal Red Robin Burger added a fried egg over the beef patty for a shockingly rich and delicious duo; and the Banzai Burger with mayo, teriyaki marinade, and grilled pineapple proved as wonderfully messy as a Big Mac but with a tangy, tropical twist. |

For dessert, the Mountain High Mudd Pie fell to pieces with severe freezer burn squandering the ice cream slab bound by peanuts and peanut butter cookie bits. But a Rookie Magic Oreo milkshake came with a refill tin of the sweet stuff. |

Portions are awesome; there’s no skimping on toppings, and all burgers include all-you-can-eat bottomless steak fries! |

Service wasn’t as strong; Phantom’s button-wearing waiter went missing but was spotted eating ice cream at the bar. |

There were fallen fries on the floor, but Phantom expected a Red Robin to swoop down and grab them. |

Burgers average $8.50, which is a flipping good deal considering they come with unlimited fries. |
