Wholly Cannoli!

Rich Elia – Owner, Wholly Cannoli: "We got citrus cannoli... chocolate chip, tiramisu, peanut butter, peanut butter and jelly, caramel swirl... chocolate amaretto..."

And that's just the beginning. Wholly Cannoli, in Worcester, claims to have the largest assortment of cannoli on the East Coast, from traditional favorites, to seasonal specialties, to absolutely unbelievable indulgences.

Rich Elia – Owner, Wholly Cannoli: "I'm always, always, always making different things here, it just never stops."

Let's start with the basics. The traditional cannoli has a crispy, crunchy shell and a heavenly sweet ricotta filling. It's available with chocolate chips... or chocolate dipped... and that's just the beginning! It's the outrageous offerings that really set Wholly Cannoli apart. There's a Banana Spilt cannoli, bursting with ripe banana flavor. The classic PB & J sandwich is transformed into a Peanut Butter and Jelly cannoli. The Caramel Fudge cannoli is simply sinful, with almost as much sweet goodness drizzled on top of the cannoli as there is inside.

Rich Elia – Owner, Wholly Cannoli: "People come in here and they just go crazy because of the different variety."

In fact, the cannoli creations aren't limited to just the tubular type. Wholly Cannoli's most explosive extravagance is the Dynamite Stick; a crunchy chocolate shell, stuffed with rich cannoli filling, and gooey caramel.

Rich Elia – Owner, Wholly Cannoli: "It is actually dynamite. I haven't met one person yet who hasn't liked that. I mean they go crazy for 'em... People are like 'Oh my God, this is better than sex.'"

If you’re worried the Dynamite Stick is too hot to handle, there’s a slightly smaller alternative, the Cherry Bomb.

Rich Elia – Owner, Wholly Cannoli: "The cannoli mix in the middle, has a cherry in the middle, with the cherry sticking out resembling the wick of a cherry bomb, wrapped in a chocolate crunch shell... they’re just absolutely fabulous."

Just when you think the cannoli creativity can't continue, Wholly Cannoli has one more decadent delight: the Chocolate Caramel Cannoli Cake – a sinful stacking of chocolate cake, caramel, cannoli mix, chocolate Italian cream, chocolate ganache, and buttercrunch. With tempting treats like the Chocolate Caramel Cannoli Cake in the kitchen, resistance is futile.

Hannah Campbell – Baker, Wholly Cannoli: "It’s really really good. Honestly, I’ve gained a couple pounds just from working here."

Even customers who've spent their entire lives in the bakery business are amazed at all the awesome options.

Tony Coffone – Retired Baker: "I worked at Rudolph's, Palaman's, Scano's Bakery, Goodhue's Bakery, Pinataro's Bakery, all my life, I was born in the bakery, 59 years in the bakery, and by far this is the best, bar none."

Believe it or not, there is more than just cannoli at Wholly Cannoli. Customers also come in for coffee, cookies, pizza, and sandwiches made on fantastic fresh baked bread.

Eve Zuspann - Rich's Grandmother: "Well, I'm Richie's Grandmother, and Richie was living with me for a while and he started making bread in my place and I couldn't stop loving that bread. I said 'Richie you gotta keep making this bread.' And before long he opened up this bakery and the bread has taken last place, his cannolis are number one now."

The cannoli is indeed number one, but good luck choosing just one Wholly Cannoli, a Phantom Gourmet... Hidden Jewel.
