25TH ANNUAL HOT DOG SAFARI

Phan-tastic Event to Benefit The Joey Fund & Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

WHAT:  The Phantom Gourmet and the Andelman brothers are proud to announce the 25th annual Hot Dog Safari, with MORE than hot dogs, ALL for The Joey Fund and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  Now bigger and better than ever, this incredible day full of family, food, and fun will return to Boston's legendary Lansdowne Street on Saturday, May 18, 2013.

Right in the shadow of Fenway Park, thousands of Phantom "Phans" will eat, drink, and smile while supporting an incredible cause. The Hot Dog Safari plans to take over the entire street including several world famous venues along Lansdowne.  All of the food sampling and children's entertainment are included with your ticket, and 100% of the proceeds go directly to the charity.  Along with Phantom favorites like Harrow's Chicken Pies, The Sausage Guy, and Windy City, Phantom Gourmet has lined up an extra 50,000 Old Neighborhood hot dogs and 50,000 rolls from Koffee Kup Bakery, so there will be plenty of great grub for everybody to enjoy.

TICKETS:  Tickets, including food and activities, tickets will be $20 at the event.  Kids aged 9 and under are free.  For tickets and information, go to PhantomGourmet.com and click "events".

WHO:  The Phantom Gourmet Hot Dog Safari was founded by legendary Boston radio personality Eddie Andelman in 1989.  It began as a simple bus tour for two hundred people seeking the best hot dog in New England.  Eddie, known as “The Godfather of Sports Talk Radio”, grew the Safari bigger and bigger until it became one of the top family friendly events of the year, while raising millions of dollars for the Joey Fund and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

At the urging of Joe O’Donnell (founder of the Joey Fund) and Eddie, Phantom Gourmet and Eddie’s sons the Andelman brothers have taken over the planning and promotion of the event. Dave (now serving as Chief Hot Dog), Mike, and Dan receive no compensation of any kind, not even a check for their expenses, because they are dedicated to eradicating this disease.
