Caffe Vittoria on Hanover Street is an authentic European café with old-fashioned cappuccino and espresso machines. Marble topped tables fill four levels of seating, and there are plenty of sweets like cannoli, biscotti, and gelato to tempt the sweet tooth. The frothy cappuccinos are the best in the North End - piping hot, topped with whipped milk, and dusted with sweet chocolate. The service can be abrupt and lightening fast, but they encourage lounging and passing the day away.
