During the day it's a deli. Constantly slicing, wrapping, and serving sandwiches.
“During the day we have specialties, our chicken parm sub which is really popular, roast beef, which is made here every day.”
But when the sun goes down over Dedham square, the Center Deli becomes Deli After Dark.
In a matter of minutes, this cozy neighborhood sandwich shop is transformed into a comfortable, classy, full-service restaurant.
The menu boasts big portions, and every dish is named after family and friends.
Freddy’s chicken wings are big and meaty. Kimmie’s shrimp skewers are seasoned in a tangy ranch Dijon dressing. But the most amazing appetizer is Foss’s buffalo chicken dip named after waitress and creator Aimee Foss.
“Foss's buffalo chicken dip… is sour cream, cream cheese, Frank’s buffalo wing sauce, blue cheese, ranch dressing, and chicken.”
“You mix it all together and bake it for about 30 minutes and serve it with pita chips.”
The thin-crust pizzas are popular as well from the buffalo Willie with side of blue cheese to Carney's meat mop, soaked in pepperoni, hamburger, and sausage.
After dark, deli sandwiches become upscale stackings. The Tuscan eggplant piles on mozzarella, spinach and roasted red peppers.
A mysteriously delicious hamburger is topped with cheddar cheese, bacon, barbecue sauce… and applesauce!
The biggest shocker, though, is the price. A complete dinner for two costs less than thirty dollars.
“The food is amazing for the price that you pay”.
Deli After Dark is a sandwich shop with a delicious secret.
And you gotta Eat Here!
